What’s On Calendar

Wednesday 1st September from 9am to 3.30pm

Long Melford Antiques Fair

The only and longest running mid week date lined Antiques Fair in the world.  Now in its 30th year, it is held on the first Wednesday of every month, and attracts the trade and public from many parts of the country because of the ever changing and fresh quality stock being exhibited by the 42 professional dealers.

As a date lined event, it means that nothing is later than 1930, but a majority of items are pre 1900 and going back to medieval, and even pre-history times.

Admission: £1.00.

During these Pandemic times, despite the government relaxing most regulations, all exhibitors and visitors must wear face masks, use the NHS App or provide names and addresses for tracking and tracing, and enter via the front entrance only, and leave via the rear one only .

Missing Book Fair

Long Melford Book Fair

Long Melford is the longest running independent book fair in East Anglia. When visiting you will generally find between 10 and 14 exhibitors who will offer for sale a wide range of books, including, but not limited to, collectable children’s books and annuals, crime fiction, antiquarian books, local interest, natural history and topography. Also often postcards.

One of the joys of book fairs is the chance of finding a book that you must have, that you didn’t know existed until you came across it. The organisers will be pleased to see you and hope you make that discovery.

List of exhibitors available at www.missingbookfairs.co.uk

Admission: Adults £1.00, accompanied children under 15 free. Delicious home made refreshments available.
